The Reception of Genuine Faith! “Received By the Divine Will of God” Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them! 3.The Object of Genuine Faith! Verses 3-4 • What the Divine Power of God Has Granted You! “Everything that Leads To A Godly Life!” 2 Timothy 3:1-9 – A Form of godliness, that is Not Godliness! • The Knowledge of Christ! John 17:3 "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Philippians 3:1-11 • Magnificent and Precious Promises!! Romans 10:14 -17 – How Faith Comes! • The Promise of His Spirit! John 16:7-9 Acts 1:8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem , and in all Judea and Samaria , and even to the remotest part of the earth." Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. • The Promise of His Presence and Deliverance! Isaiah 41:10 `Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' Jeremiah 1:8 "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you," declares the LORD. • The Promise of His Peace! John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." • The Promise of His Leading! Isaiah 30:19-21 Isaiah 30:20 but your eyes will behold your Teacher. 21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, " This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left. 22 And you will defile your graven images overlaid with silver, and your molten images plated with gold. You will scatter them as an impure thing, and say to them, " Be gone!" • The Promise of an Appropriate Weapons to Overcome! 2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for theweapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, • The Promise of Limited Testing! 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. 4. The Results of Faith! • Escape the Corruption of the World! 1 Peter 4:1-5 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. • Participate with the Divine Nature! Becoming Like Christ! |
