The Greatness of God in Christ! John 1:1-16

A. The Divinity of Jesus!

    • John’s Testimony! “He existed before me.”
    • Jesus’ Testimony! John 14:1-11

John 8:56"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." 57 So the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" 58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." 59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple.

John 10:30 "I and the Father are one." 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33 The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."

  • By Living on Every Word that Proceeds From God’s Mouth!

John 5:19 Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

  • By Living Life In Humility and Love!

The Fallacy of Signs and Wonders! Luke 16:19-31

  • Never the Basis of Faith!
  • The Enemy Can Counterfeit Signs and Wonders!
  • Hearing God’s Word Produces Faith!
    • By Worshipping God Alone!
      • By His Word on Humility and Servanthood! Luke 22:20-27
      • By His Deeds! John 13:12

Luke 17:7 "Which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come immediately and sit down to eat'? 8 "But will he not say to him, ' Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink'? 9 "He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he? 10 "So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.'"
