Abraham’s Gift – Genesis 14:17-24

Jacob’s Vow! - Genesis 28:20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, " If God will be with me and will keep me on this journey that I take, and will give me food to eat and garments to wear, 21 and I return to my father's house in safety, then the Lord will be my God. 22 "This stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God's house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You."

2. To The Word of the Lord!

Leviticus 27:30 'Thus all the tithe of the land, of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's; it is holy to the Lord. 32 'For every tenth part of herd or flock, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the Lord. NASU

Tithing, While Not Neglecting the Weightier Provisions of the Word!

Luke 11:42 " But woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithe of mint and rue and every kind of garden herb, and yet disregard justice and the love of God; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others. NASU
