Joshua 2:1-22 – The Two Spies and Rahab

Deliverance is Always Availaible!

Jesus Christ Came Into the World to Save Sinners!

1 Timothy 1:15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. 16 Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear And will trust in the Lord.

How? Through Faith! Hebrews 11:1-3; 31

A. Your Confession Expresses Your Faith! Joshua 2:8-11

For Rahab her confession is simple!

• Yahweh Has Given You the Land!
• Our Hearts Are Melting with fear!
• We Have Heard!
• Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

Principles of Faith in Christ!

• 1) Hearing and the Knowledge of the Promises God!
• 2) The Fear of God!
• 3) Confession of Faith!

Romans 10:6-16 – The Confession of Faith!

Matthew 10:32 "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. 33 "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

B. Your Requests Demonstrate Your Faith! Joshua 2:12-14

For Rahab Her Request Is Simple!

• The Appeal – I have dealt Kindly with You
• The Expectation! – I am asking You to deal kindly with me!

Save Me and My Household! Acts 16:22-34

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

C. Your Works Prove What You Believe and that Kind of Faith is Justifying, Saving Faith! Joshua 2:15-21

• Yahweh Has Given You the Land!

• Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

James 2:17-26 – The Power of Faith and Works!

Joshua 6:17-25 – Rahab’s Deliverance!

Matthew 1:4-6 – Jesus, the Son of David! Rahab the Great, Great Grandmother of David!
