Mastering Sin!

Genesis 4:1-14

Romans 5:12 through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned —

Genesis 4:1-14

1. All have Sinned!

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

2. The Wages of Sin is Death! James 1:12

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Matthew 6:23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

3. Disobedience to God, His word and Law Is Sin!

1 Samuel 15:23 "For rebellion is as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king."

4. Sin Affects and Defiles Those Around You!

Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;

5. Sin Separates You From God!

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

6. Sin Turns Good Things Away From You!

Jeremiah 5:25 'Your iniquities have turned these away, And your sins have withheld good from you.

The Way of Cain – Genesis 4:1-14

• Cain Brings an Offering With A Wrong Attitude!
• Cain Becomes Offended – His Countenance Falls
• God Speaks, Cain Hears!
• Sin Crouches At the Door of His Life and It’s Desire is For Him!

• You Must Do Well and Master Sin or It will Master You!
• You become hidden from the face of God.
• You become a spiritual vagrant and wanderer.

1. Jesus Mastered Sin For You!

2 Corinthians 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Mark 1:14 Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15 and saying, " The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

2. You Are Dead to Sin! Reckon Yourself Dead To Sin!
3. Present Your Body Everyday for Righteousness!
4. Set Your Mind on the Things of the Spirit!
5. Crucify the Flesh and Its Passions!
6. Live By the Spirit! It will Always Lead You to Love,
and Love covers a multitude of Sins!
