Fathers, How We Live! Ephesians 6:4

1. We Live For Christ, We Live to Be Like Christ!

Genesis 4:7 “If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it."

Romans 6:14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

  • Victory is Available!
  • You are More than Conquerors!
  • You Can Resist Temptation!
  • You Can Be Free From Sin’s power!
  • You Will Be Like Jesus!

    • Accept Children As God Accepts Them! Psalm 127:3-5
    • Bring Them To Christ!

Luke 18:15 And they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them. 16 But Jesus called for them, saying, "Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all."

Ephesians 6: 4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

    • How You Live as a Husband and Wife!
    • How You Respond to Difficulty and Any Situation!
    • How You Respond to Broken Relationships!
    • How You Give and Serve!
  • Fulfill Your Word! And Love them!

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

Be Present!

  • Embrace Gentleness!

Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger .

  • Discipline Your Children! Hebrews 12:5-11

Proverbs 23:13 Do not hold back discipline from the child, Although you beat him with the rod, he will not die.

Luke 15 – The Loving Father!
