1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit; 20 do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil.
3. Scripture Links Thankfulness, Amongst Other Things, to a Tranquil and Quiet Life!
1 Timothy 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
- Uninterrupted Communion or Fellowship with the Lord!
- You Have a Grasp For What God’s Will is For Your Life!
Romans 8:28-30 and 1 Thessalonians 3:1-8
- You Have a Growing Faith in the Providence of God!
- You Are Willing to Look Foolish!
- It Means You are Willing to Place Every Circumstance in the hands of God, which in reality they already are!
- It Means You See and Confess Jesus As Lord!
- You Choose to See the Good God is Accomplishing!
- You Choose to Be Happy, and if Not Deliriously Happy, you at the least find contentment!
- You put off grumbling, complaint and discontentment, thanking God for all that He has given and all that He is doing!
- You Believe Your Circumstances furthers the will of God and the Expansion of the Gospel!
- You Choose to be Led by the Spirit According to His Word!
- You Are Willing to be a Greater Vessel for His Glory!
- You Find Out the Great and Lasting Joy Comes not because of Good circumstances but from the Hand of God!
- You Suffer in A Manner Worthy of the Lord!
- Your Ache seems to be relieved as you know that for the believer, weeping may last through the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning!
Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
